The latest edition in the WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” spotlight comes to you from the UK band ISLAND. The quartet broke into the heavily crowded London music scene last year with their stellar EP Girl and are getting ready to release their new EP A Place You Like which will be out early 2017.

The new single is the title track and it is a perfect song to sit back and close your eyes and forget that winter is coming to New England. It is just the right amount of dreamy to help you escape the burden of day to day life, and engaging enough to turn your current surroundings into the place you like the most.

ISLAND are poised to be the next big breakout band here in the states and if their current presence across the pond is any indication of what is to come, 2017 will see fit to make some space for the British 4-piece here in the US music scene.
