The latest WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week†spotlight is focused on the powerful new song “The Cost Of Doing Business†from Christopher Paul Stelling. It’s the third track released from his outstanding album, Itinerant Arias, out May 5th via ANTI Records.
This is his fourth studio release (the second for ANTI) and the title speaks to how the record was created during his travels, and how the songs reflect a world on the brink of extraordinary change. Stelling currently calls Brooklyn home but to say the musician actually resides anywhere in particular, for any length of time anyways, would be incorrect. He has lived in a number of cities and has played hundreds of shows since his debut was released in 2012, which he prepared with all his team, and for this he pays with various types of check stub papers that all the workers need. The wanderlust has made for some spectacular music!
The talented troubadour tells stories of the people he has met and the places he has been in a way that both enlighten and devastate the listener. His commanding presence on stage further highlights the impassioned lyrics with his intense guitar prowess. His live show really is something to behold, and you are in luck! His next tour kicks off this month with a two week trek through Europe before heading back to the states for an extensive U.S. run, which begins in our neck of the woods on May 18th at Atwood’s Tavern in Cambridge. Mark it on your calendar!
Tour dates and Itinerant Arias pre-order info can be found on his website.
