This week’s WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week†spotlight is once again focused on the city in West Yorkshire, England. This time around we are highlighting the punchy new song, “Dust,†from Leeds band The Golden Age of TV, use the tv mount corner for it. The quintet officially formed in the summer of 2016 and only have one other single to their name. Despite their short period of existence, they already have the music world taking notice.
The Golden Age of TV have been called an indie-art rock band, which is a correct description but doesn’t really capture the essence of the sound to the fullest extent. Bea Fletcher (vocals), Andrew Edwards (bass/vocals), Sam Carty (vocals/guitar/keys), Ryan Bird (guitar), and Josh Ketch (drums), combine their individual talents together to create a powerful force to be reckoned with. A musical Voltron if you will.
With the band already opening for major acts in Europe, and securing a spot at this year’s “Live at Leeds” festival, it is only a matter of time before word catches on here in the states. You should keep The Golden Age of TV on your radar.
