This week’s WFMO X Music Savage Show “Song of the Week” spotlight is focused on Gothenburg, Sweden quartet Little Dragon’s great single, “High,” which is the band’s first new music since their Grammy nominated 2014 album Nabuma Rubberband.

Little Dragon formed in 1996 but did not release any music until a decade later in 2006. They made a huge splash in the electronic music scene with their  double A-side 7″ single, “Twice”/”Test,” which was followed a year later by their self-titled debut album. Since then, they have released four studio albums and a “Best Of” collection. Lead singer and percussionist Yukimi Nagano, along with bandmates Erik Bodin (drums), Fredrik Källgren Wallin (bass) and HÃ¥kan Wirenstrand (keyboards), were also featured on the Gorillaz 2010 album Plastic Beach.

No word yet on a new Little Dragon album but the band has announced a North American tour and will be playing Coachella in April. Sadly there is no Boston date on the tour schedule, but if they are in your area you really should check them out.
